This December, in a surprisingly simple yet ridiculously amazing installation for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Ar, artist Yayoi Kusama constructed a large domestic environment, painting every wall, chair, table, piano, and household decoration a brilliant white, effectively serving as a giant white canvas. Over the course of two weeks, the museum’s smallest visitors were given thousands upon thousands of colored dot stickers and were invited to collaborate in the transformation of the space, turning the house into a vibrantly mottled explosion of color. How great is this? Given the opportunity my son could probably cover the entire piano alone in about fifteen minutes. The installation, entitled The Obliteration Room, is part of Kusama’s Look Now, See Forever exhibition that runs through March 12.

If you liked this you’ll also enjoy Roman Ondak’s Room of Heights and Karina Smigla-Bobinski’s helium-filled kinetic drawing sculpture.

ANAMORPHIC SCULPTURES
Jan 30, 2013 · Art
London-based artist Jonty Hurwitz creates ‘Anamorphic Sculptures’ which only reveal themselves once facing a reflective cylinder. Hurwitz took an engineering degree in Johannesburg where he discovered the fine line between art and science. He has lived in England for many years, working in the online industry though he quietly levitated into the world of art inspired by a need to make ‘something real’. Hurwitz discovered that he could use science as an artistic paintbrush. Each of his sculptures is a study on the physics of how we perceive space and is the stroke of over 1 billion calculations and algorithms.

I came across some really intriguing artwork by a variety of people who utilized bottle caps for their designs. What do you think about some of these?

I've always loved playing with Lego because the only limitation to what you can make
is your mind and your collection of bricks. I didn't realize how much my creativity has been lacking until I
came across these! Simply fantastic creations by simply fantastic minds.

OH MY GOODNESS... this is the worst day I've had in years!!!  arrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I HATE BEING SICK & tired of it all :(    You know that feeling when you are sooooo sick of being sick and blucky that you really could care less about anything?  Well, that's me for sure!  I was going to distract myself with some movies but after wasting one and a half hours searching through Netflix, I give up!   Any recommendations for me???
On a brighter note, check out these AMAZING hand art designs!!!
