The other kind of corner…

Posted: 20 May 2013 09:55 AM PDT

Shelving units that are adapted for the inside of corners are a common and useful storage solution, so why not expand this concept to outward-facing corners for even more space-savings? Designer Kim Hyung Geun answers this very question with his latest piece- a versatile shelving system that makes the most out of both kinds of corners that are just waiting to be used! Easy to mount and easy on the eyes, it’s a simple way to bring more shelving into compact spaces.

Just like the name suggests, the Easy-to-View Compass makes reading the radius of circles or arcs in technical drawings a cinch. Numerical values are instantly calculated and displayed on its bright LCD screen. It’s not only more accurate, but decreases fatigue by eliminating the needs to constantly readjust and monitor the setting.

Finally, a stroller tots will love!

Posted: 03 May 2013 09:27 AM PDT

One problem with current stroller designs is that they do little to appeal to the emotional attachment of the toddlers who ride in them. Most are built around functionalities required by parents, & aesthetics take a back seat. But what’s the point if your kid is miserable riding in it?! After all, happy kids make happy parents! The Strollon stroller taps into the imagination of the child & yet doesn’t sacrifice functionality. It’s so cool you’ll wish you were small enough to ride in it.

The idea was to give kids a stroller experience that makes them feel as if they have their own car, so the design is fit with features like a windscreen, lateral windows, doors, and a sporty exterior. Genius!

The Mercedes Benz Dolphin takes that design cues from the naturally streamlined shape of the aquatic animal, applying lightweight material to its aerodynamic form for maximum efficiency. Powered by a dual-stators maglev DC machine, the lighter and cleaner engine was a natural choice to compliment its focus on environmental friendliness and efficiency. It’s a Flipper-inspired family car of the future!
